TYPHUS LORD OF NURGLE
GAMES WORKSHOP - CHAOS

This was a commission piece I did for a customer who found me through E-Bay.  He never came through on payment so I put it up for auction.  I ended up getting 3x my asking price!  Overall a fun model to paint, so many possibilities for great paint schemes.

REVENGER LIGHT WARJACK
WARMACHINE - PROTECTORATE

My first venture into Warmachine.  I like the pose-ability of the figure.  The arms of this figure meet the body at ball and cup joints.  This allows for limitless choices in how to pose the arms.  I was also impressed with how clean the casting was.  This is an all metal model and was a far cleaner cast than the Games Workshop models I had become accustomed to.

CATACHAN VETERAN SQUAD
GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

When I finally started playing 40K I wanted to put to use the hodgepodge of Imperial Guard figures in my inventory.  The majority of my figures were Catachan, but I had a few Praetorian, Moridian and Valhallan.  What better solution than a Veteran Squad?  Veterans (survivors), the best of their respective divisions united in battle as a veteran squad.  This Veteran squad was outfitted in urban camo with red head wear.

**UPDATE** I have recently stripped these down to bare metal and added the standard Catachan models to my Catachan army in a standard camo.  The two rogue trader era commissars have been painted as commissars and the rest set unpainted until I decide their fate.

CATACHAN DEVILS VETERAN SQUAD
GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

Yeah Games Workshop makes a Sgt. Harker figure, but I wasn't in the mood for that.  You see I had lot of extra Catachan Infantry lying around and a whole lot of bits to play with so I went about making my own and a squad for him to lead.

GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

These five represent the first of my Kasrkin Stormtroopers.  I hope to soon accompany them with a Vendetta for transport onto the battlefield.  In the meantime they'll have to join the melee via deepstrike.

GAMES WORKSHOP - Space Marines

When I first got back into Warhammer 40k I wasn't sure what army I wanted to play yet but I had a lot of Space Marines lying around begging to be painted. I ended up making this Tac-Squad which I later traded. I really enjoyed working on this squad and made use of some old second edition bitz as well as a bit of Apoxie Sculpt.

CATACHAN SENTINELS
GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

Oldies but goodies.  I painted these back in oh... 2003 or so.  I think they hold up pretty well.  I have a total of 6 so I may strip and repaint a squad but I haven't made up my mind yet.
GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

Not the first Leman Russ I ever painted, but the first in the 21st century. I put a great deal more time and attention into this one but I expect that I will be going back over some of the details now that I have learned a few more techniques.

GREY HUNTERS
GAMES WORKSHOP - SPACE WOLVES

These guys have all received a beard and some various fur details thanks to a bit of green stuff. Additionally each model received a Wolf power pack from Kromlech.

GAMES WORKSHOP - SPACE WOLVES

This model underwent a bit of converting. Thanks to Green Stuff and Apoxie Sculpt a vanila marine dreadnought became a Space Wolves Dreadnought.

GAMES WORKSHOP - SPACE WOLVES

I loved working on this model and I love the overall effect I was able to achieve.  I didn't use any fancy techniques, unless you call dry brushing fancy.  I did mix a little bit of weathering powder into my wash to achieve the rust hue but other wise it was spray paint, masking tape, and brushes.

GAMES WORKSHOP - IMPERIAL GUARD

The first Chimera I've worked on and a definite progression in my grasp of advanced weathering techniques.  I used chipping fluid, sponging method, weathering powders, oil paints and technical paints.

I'm quite happy with the result but feel that I could do better.
